Incorporated in the State of Alabama in October 1980, Hile Controls Of Alabama, Inc. is celebrating their 28th year as an Independent Manufacturer's Representative. With our Corporate office in Birmingham, Hile Controls serves the process industries in the States of Alabama, Mississippi, and the Florida Panhandle. SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS Hile Controls of Alabama, Inc. was originally founded by Bill Hile of the W.K. Hile Company in Matthews, (Charlotte) N.C. Grady Andrews, then a six-year employee of the Company, began the purchase buyout of the Alabama franchise in 1988. Mr. Andrews completed his buyout in 1994 and is now the sole owner of Hile Controls of Alabama, Inc. The outside sales consultants of Hile Controls of Alabama, Inc. have over 50+ years combined experience in process and factory automation controls, analyzers, flow meters, level gauges, regulators and control valves. Their markets include power generation, chemical / petro-chem, steel, tire, pulp & paper, waste water, and engineering firms. Key customers include Alabama Power, Southern Company Services, TVA, BP/Amoco, Mobil Oil, Hunt Refining, International Paper, Degussa, Monsanto, Solutia, Ciba Specialty Chemicals, U.S. Steel, Michelin, Air Products, Raytheon / Washington Group, and BE&K Engineering. Andrews: (Director of Operations/Corporate Secretary); A 1989 graduate of UNCG with a B.S. in Business, Catherine directs the flow of the Company and Inside Sales through newsletters, quotes/orders and lead follow-up. She is responsible for Inside Sales, Hile marketing efforts, our web site (www.hilealabama.com), and accounts payable/receivable. Her sales background was in the grocery industry with T.J. Lipton for 15+ years, working with distributors and developing new markets for Lipton & Lawry products throughout the Southeast, prior to joining Hile Controls in 1997. In addition to Hile Controls’ responsibilities Catherine has served as ISA Birmingham Section President and was awarded ISA’s Emerging Society Leader honor in 2006. She is currently involved with ISA’s Workforce Development Campaign to bring more of our youth into the Science, Math and Engineering fields. She accepted the very challenging position of Office Administrator in January 2009. Betsy served two terms in the US Air Force while taking the opportunity to attend college, travel thru Europe, and start a family. Now, with over 20 years experience in commercial and industrial sales and service, Betsy brings with her strength, leadership, strong work ethic and desire to provide quality customer service to her position here at Hile Controls. He enjoys bass fishing, personal fitness, the great outdoors and family & friends on his time off.
